Summer life update and reading list
Hello,
It is July and it is summer. I know, I know. It has been so many months since I was last here. I am writing this from my living room in London and I feel happy. A lot has changed since March.
I cannot believe how quickly time is flying by this year… honestly this year has been so jam packed. I can honestly say that I am in a happy space right now. A lot has happened and my life feels very full, in a wholesome way. Since March, it feels like I have been shedding parts of me that were keeping others happy, but not keeping me happy. Since March, it feels like I have been using my voice more and asking for what I want. It feels like my relationship to myself is getting stronger, week by week. Which I am incredibly grateful for.
I want to re-pick up my writing practice to nuture my relationship with my pen. I want to re-pick up my French and my linguistic skills which I miss so much. I want to re-pick up my asana practice to help ground me as I get busy with the summer. I want to go swimming to cool down in this heat. I want to cook and eat beautiful and tasty food again. I want to read stories and meet characters without any agenda. I want to go on more trail runs in the forest. I want to sit and do nothing.
I am reading “Being mortal” by Atul Gawande.
